Lisa Hendry, RMT

Joel is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC), formerly the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia. Growing up in a small town in Saskatchewan, he developed a love for sports, particularly volleyball and hockey. His passion for hockey led him to play competitive junior A hockey in the United States for three years, captaining his team in his final year. Through his athletic journey, Joel has experienced firsthand the physical demands of sports and the critical importance of proper maintenance and recovery.

In his practice, Joel offers a comprehensive treatment approach that includes:

General Swedish Techniques: To warm up the tissue.

Myofascial Techniques: To open space in the tissues.

Deep Targeted Techniques: To release tense muscles.

Specific Stretching Techniques: To enhance range of motion.

Joint Mobilizations: To improve joint nutrition and create more space within joints for a comfortable range of motion.

Outside the clinic, Joel enjoys:

Playing hockey, Acting,

Resistance training,

Exploring the scenic areas of Vancouver with his wife and little boy, and

Reading non-fiction books.

He is eager to continue his career as an RMT, continually expanding his knowledge about the body to help his patients achieve their peak health/performance.

Lisa graduated from the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) and began practice in 2004.

Joining an Integrative practice in North Vancouver; she worked for seven years in a integrative clinic alongside doctors of Naturopathy; Traditional Chinese Medicine; Chiropractics; nutritionists and physiotherapists. This experienced developed Lisa knowledge of complimentary modalities and enables her to direct clients in developing a supportive network of care.

Lisa relocated to the beautiful community of Smithers and worked for over 12 years with the fantastic team at Health Kinections.

A desire to return to an integrative practice led her to co-own and operate Trillium Integrative Health Center for the past 7 years.

The summer of 2025, Lisa returned to private practice to find balance between work, studies and home life.

Post graduate studies include further training in Fascial release therapy; Abdominopelvic Visceral techniques ( organs) ; End Range Loading ( tx of joint disfunction; Muscle Energy Technique; Cranial Sacral therapy; Neuromuscular techniques and a multitude of Homecare tools and techniques.

Most recently, she has completed Reformer Pilates training and will resume instructing Homecare exercise on the reformer in her new location above the auto shop at Coast Mountain GM.
